The U Data Roam 10 and U Data Roam 36 are affordable data roaming promotions which enables you to enjoy unlimited internet roaming at selected destinations when you connect to our preferred roaming operator’s network while roaming.

This promotion will begin on 7 April 2016 until further notice.

This promotion is available to all U Mobile prepaid and postpaid plans, except for U Mobile postpaid broadband plans.

You will be automatically subscribed to either U Data Roam 10 or U Data Roam 36 once you connect to our preferred roaming operator’s network based on the country you roam in.

U Data Roam 10:
You will be charged RM10 per day for internet usage while on roaming if you connect to the following networks based on the country you roam:

Yes. As long as your member line activates the international roaming service, the member line holder will be able enjoy the same promotion as the principal line holder but the usage will be charged separately.

For example: In Singapore where we offer U Data Roam 10 promotion:
If the principal line holder and 1 member line uses data roaming at the same time in Singapore when they connect to STARHUB, the principal line will be charged RM10 per day and an additional RM10 per day for the member line’s internet usage.

You just need to ensure that your international roaming service is activated before you travel overseas.

There is no manual subscription required. However, you will NEED to manually select and connect to the preferred roaming operator’s network based on the country you are in.

Yes, you will receive a welcome message which states our preferred roaming operator’s name and network when you arrive at your destination country.

You will not be able to connect to the internet on your mobile device using your mobile data.

Therefore, please ensure that you connect with U Mobile’s preferred roaming operator when you are abroad.

For U Data Roam 10, any usage of the internet will be charged at the flat rate of RM10 per day.

For U Data Roam 36, your internet usage will be charged at the rate of RM9 per MB up to a maximum rate of RM36 per day.

You are advised to ensure that you have the credit balance required based on the charges applicable based on the type of country you intend to travel before you travel.

As an example, if you do not have RM10 credit in your main credit balance account when you travel to countries where the U Data Roam 10 is available, the promotion will not be applicable to you. You will not be able to subscribe to U Data Roam if you have insufficient credit in your Main Credit Balance as U Data Roam charges can only be deducted from the Main Credit Balance even though you have sufficient credit in your CreditShare Balance.

If you have less than RM36 in your account when you travel to countries where the U Data Roam 36 is applicable, you are still allowed to perform data roaming until the service is blocked when there insufficient credit for deduction. Data usage will be charged at RM9/MB and capped at RM36/day.
