International Roaming is a service where it allows you to use your mobile number to make and receive calls in countries or destinations while you are overseas.

Please pre-activate your roaming services (IDD & IR) before you travel overseas.

If you are an existing customer who have more than 6 months tenure, you can activate your International Roaming service with methods below:

 
1. Via UMB *118*6#
2. Via SMS
   1. Send “ON ROAMIDD” to 28118
   2. Activate for member: Send “ON ROAMIDD<space><601XXXXXXXX> to 28118
3. Via Online Selfcare
4. Via MyUMobile App
5. Call-in to 1318
6. Walk-in to our nearest U Mobile Service Centre

To activate these services, please refer to the requirements below: 1. RM200 deposit is required

The treatment will be same as the principal/standalone postpaid subscriber.

No subscription is required. Roaming services (IDD & IR) are pre-activated for all prepaid subscribers.

If you can present the last two (2) months' bill* with the previous operator for roaming services usage which were paid on time, you are entitled to activate IDD & IR services without deposit. But if you have subscribed to auto-debit with U Mobile, you can request for IDD & IR activation without deposit. You do not need to present your previous operator bills. Note*: The owner name presented in the previous operator bills MUST be the same as registration name with U Mobile.

Just follow the simple steps below: Step 1: Insert "+" Step 2: Followed by the Country Code Step 3: Lastly the area/operator code together with mobile/fixed line number. Eg: Send a SMS to Malaysia mobile number (0181234567) Dial + 60181234567 and press send

First, please ensure your roaming service is activated. Then set your phone settings by following steps below: Android: Step 1: Settings Step 2: More networks Step 3: Mobile Networks Step 4: Network operators Step 5: Select networks Step 6: Turn on Data Roaming iPhone: Step 1: Settings Step 2: General Step 3: Cellular Step 4: Ensure Cellular Data & Data Roaming is turned on Step 5: Carrier Step 6: Turn Automatic to "OFF" Step 7: Select your preferred network Blackberry: Step 1: System Settings Step 2: Network Connections Step 3: Select Mobile Network Step 4: Click on Network Selection Mode Step 5: Turn into Manual mode

For Postpaid subscribers, your charges will be reflected in your upcoming bill statement. For Prepaid subsribers, the charges will be directly deducted from your credit balance.
