U Mobile #MadeForUni Package is a special program for local public and private Higher Education institution students to enjoy data plan(s) at special monthly fees and 2x Hotspot quota offering throughout the student’s lifetime*.

*Student lifetime refers to students between 18 – 24yo or a maximum 4 years from time of registration (whichever comes first).

There are total of 2 data plans under #MadeForUni Package:

Prepaid GX38: Unlimited Data @ 6Mbps + Unlimited Calls + 2x Hotspot quota of 12GB at RM35/month

Postpaid GX50: Unlimited Data @ 5Mbps + Unlimited Calls + 2x Hotspot quota of 10GB at RM40/month

You can use the data for ALL usages on your smartphone (example: to attend your online classes, visit university/college website and portal, web browsing, social media, video, or music streaming). In addition, you can also use the Hotspot quota for your devices such as laptop/computer/tablet.

All students who are currently studying in the public and private higher education institution with valid university/college email address and aged 18 – 24 years old can sign up for the plans.

Yes, you are required to register for either new prepaid UNLIMITED Funz pack or register new line with postpaid GX50 plan with your passport details and valid university/college email address. A deposit may be required (depending on the plan subscribed).

#MadeForuni Prepaid GX38:

STEP 1 – Go to the U Mobile #MadeForUni Portal, enter your name, valid U Mobile number, and your university/college email.

STEP 2 – Login to your university/college email and click on the verification link.

STEP 3 – Upon successfully verified, SMS notification will be sent to your U Mobile number within 24 hours.

STEP 4 - You can now sign up/purchase the prepaid data plan (GX38) via MyUMobile app/UMB as per usual steps to enjoy special data rate and 2x Hotspot quota


#MadeForuni Postpaid GX50:

STEP 1 – Ensure you are subscribed to postpaid GX50 plan and go to the U Mobile #MadeForUni Portal , enter your name, valid U Mobile number, and your university/college email.

STEP 2 – Login to your university/college email and click on the verification link.

STEP 3 – Upon successfully verified, SMS notification will be sent to your U Mobile number within 24 hours.

STEP 4 - You can now enjoy 2x Hotspot quota immediately and the monthly rebate deduction of RM10 will be reflected in your next bill.

You are required to purchase a new U Mobile prepaid Unlimited Funz pack or sign up for a postpaid GX50 plan. Thereafter, please follow the steps in FAQ Q6.

Yes, however you will only be eligible to enjoy the 2x Hotspot quota and special data rate on your next data plan renewal.

Yes, you will immediately enjoy 2x Hotspot quota upon enrollment to #MadeForUni. The RM10 rebate deduction will be reflected in your next bill.
