GOLIFE

  1. GoLife is a monthly renewable term life insurance plan with a coverage of up to 50 years of age. It provides a lump sum benefit in the event of death or total and permanent disability (“TPD”) of life assured due to all causes. Kindly refer to the product disclosure sheet for further details.
  2. GoLife is underwritten by Sun Life Malaysia Assurance Berhad Registration No. 199001005930 (197499-U)(“SLMA”), an insurer licensed by Bank Negara Malaysia under the Financial Services Act 2013 and is promoted by U Mobile Sdn. GOLIFE is exclusively offered to U Mobile’s customers who are:

  1. principal postpaid line holders or prepaid customers;
  2. Malaysian citizens or permanent residents with valid NRIC;
  3. in good health condition;
  4. aged between 18 up to 45 years of age at last birthday (renewable until age 49). As an illustration, if your date of birth is 28/11/1967, the last renewal date for the GoLife plan will be 27/11/2017 which is a day before you turn 50.

GoLife is a monthly renewable insurance plan that provides coverage of up to 50 years of age.

There are currently two plans offered i.e. GOLIFE 5 and GOLIFE 10, which comes with the following benefits:

Death/TPD due to Dengue Fever, Chikungunya Fever, Malaria, Japanese Encephalitis, Avian Influenza and Zika Virus Infection 2x of coverage = RM36,000 2x of coverage = RM76,000
Coverage Term The coverage is renewable on a monthly basis and will expire when the policy holder attains the age of 50.
Premium RM5 per month RM10 per month

You can purchase GoLife via U Mobile Self Care Portal or MyUMobile App by selecting insurance tab and following the instructions provided.

The monthly premium applicable will be deducted via your prepaid account, if you are a prepaid subscriber or will be reflected in your postpaid bill if you are a postpaid subscriber. GoLife will be automatically renewed on a monthly basis provided that the monthly premium is successfully charged via your U Mobile account.

No. One customer can only purchase either GoLife 5 or GoLife 10 only at one time.

There is no option for plan upgrade or downgrade available at the moment. You may cancel your existing GoLife 5 and purchase GoLife 10, later. However, no refund will be provided to you for the GoLife 5 you have purchased and the GoLife 5 coverage will end on the day of the next premium due date. You are advised to carefully consider the premium amount and coverage before purchasing any plan. By way of an illustration, if you purchase GoLife 5 on 1 January 2018 and terminate the plan on 15 April 2018, the existing coverage will be valid until 30 April 2018 (when the next premium is payable).

Under a standard insurance plan, free look period is applicable where you may cancel your insurance plan within 15 days from the delivery date of the first e-certificate. Within the said period, we will refund the full premium paid via crediting the amount into your prepaid account or reflecting it as a rebate in your postpaid bill. However, for GoLife, we offer a 60-day satisfaction guaranteed period where we will provide full refund of premium paid within 60 days from the date that your first premium is charged (“Satisfaction Guaranteed Period”) instead of the normal 15 days period. This Satisfaction Guaranteed Period will apply unless notified otherwise.
