This offer is open to all new or existing customers, including new line registrations, mobile number portability (MNP) port-ins, prepaid to postpaid conversions and change of rate plans.

The Upfront Payment is applicable to all New, Switch to U or existing U Mobile Lines who are not eligible for the Upfront Payment waiver.

New, Switch to U and non-eligible existing customers will be required to pay an upfront amount. E.g. RM720 for P99 and RM1,056 for P139.

Yes, the Upfront Payment amount will be rebated to you over 24 months. E.g. RM30 monthly rebate over 24 months for P99; and RM44 monthly rebate over 24 months for P139.

The Upfront Payment amount may vary depending on your selected rate plan and device model.

For existing customers who meet the eligibility criteria, the Upfront Payment will be waived upon registration. You may log on to the U Mobile Online Store to check your eligibility upon signing up for a Device bundle, or visit your nearest U Mobile Store.

Contract freedom means you have the ability to terminate your service at any time. However, if you terminate or downgrade your current plan or change to another rate plan before the expiry of the commitment period, the following will be applicable:

  1. For customers who have paid the Upfront Payment (not entitled to the Upfront Payment waiver), your remaining monthly rebate subsidy will be forfeited.

  2. For customers who are entitled to the Upfront Payment waiver, you will be required to refund the balance of the device subsidy amount (Upfront Payment). The device subsidy balance will be calculated as per the following:

  3. Subsidy amount (Upfront Payment) / Commitment Period x remaining number of months. The remaining number of months will include the month during which you terminated the Service. (Example: If you subscribed to P79 Postpaid plan with any device, and you terminate on the 7th month, you are required to refund RM360 / 24months x 18 months = RM270).
