#MadeForUni Offer
  1. General

    1. The #MadeForUni offer (“Offer”) is an initiative the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (“MoHE”), in collaboration with U Mobile Sdn Bhd Registration No. 199101013657 (223969-U) (“U Mobile”) to provide special data plan for students in local institutions registered with the MoHE.

    2. The Offer is made available from 12 August 2021 until terminated by us ("Offer Period").

    3. The Offer is provided according to U Mobile’s postpaid GX50 or prepaid GX38 terms and conditions (as the case may be), our Privacy Notice and these additional terms and conditions (collectively, the "Terms") all of which are available on www.u.com.my

    4. We reserve the right to discontinue the Offer, modify or otherwise change these Terms including the charges.

    5. The Offer cannot be combined with any other offers unless expressly stated.

  2. Offer Eligibility

    1. The Offer is open to U Mobile new and existing subscribers:

      1. who are subscribed to:

        1. GX50 postpaid plan (“GX50”); or

        2. GX38 prepaid plan (“GX38”); and

        1. who are Malaysian or non-Malaysian students of public or private higher learning institutions registered under the MoHE;

        2. aged between 18 to 24 years old during the Offer Period with valid NRIC or passport;

        3. residing in Malaysia; and

        4. who have a valid university/college issued email address; and


      3. have completed registration for the Offer via U Mobile’s website at u.com.my/madeforuni/en; and

      4. have received confirmation on the registration from us via SMS (“Registration”).

  3. Offering

    1. Upon successful Registration, you will receive the following additional Hotspot data quota based on the type of plan you are subscribed to (“Additional Hotspot Quota”)

      2. Type of Plan Subscribed Benefits
      GX50
      1. Receive Additional Hotspot Quota of 5GB on top of the plan’s existing Hotspot quota after activation of your GX50 postpaid plan and upon Registration;

      2. Rebate deduction worth RM10.00 which will be reflected in your next bill.

      By way of example, if you are an existing GX50 postpaid subscriber, you are entitled to receive 5GB of hotspot quota under your existing GX50 postpaid plan. Under the Offer, you will receive the Additional Hotspot quota of 5GB totaling 10GB. The validity period of the Additional Hotspot Quota will expire at the same time as the validity period of your original hotspot quota even if your Registration occurred later. Any unused Hotspot quota including the Additional Hotspot Quota will be automatically forfeited at the end of each month. If you used all of your Hotspot quota, your data speed will be managed while using your mobile Hotspot.


      Even if you are a new GX50 postpaid plan subscriber, you will receive the Additional Hotspot only upon Registration
      GX38

      Receive Additional Hotspot Quota of 6GB on top of the plan’s existing Hotspot quota after activation of your GX38 prepaid plan and upon Registration.


      By way of example, if you are an existing GX38 prepaid subscriber, you are entitled to receive 6GB of Hotspot quota. Under the Offer, you will receive the Additional Hotspot Quota of 6GB totaling 12GB.


      The validity period of the Additional Hotspot Quota will expire at the same time as the validity period of your GX38 prepaid plan even if Registration occurred later. Any unused Hotspot quota including the Additional Hotspot Quota will be automatically forfeited at the end of each month. If you used all of your Hotspot quota, your data speed will be managed while using your mobile Hotspot.


      Even if you are a new GX38 prepaid plan subscriber, you will receive the Additional Hotspot Quota only upon Registration.

  4. Expiry and Termination

    1. In addition to our other rights and remedies, we may suspend or terminate the Offer if you breach any of the Terms.

    2. The Offer will be automatically terminated on the earlier to occur of:

      1. the expiry of 4 years from the date of the Registration; or

      2. the subscriber turning 24 years old.

    3. Upon expiry or termination of the Offer, subscribers will continue to enjoy the existing data quota provided under their existing GX38 or GX50 plans. Any remaining extra Hotspot will be automatically forfeited.
