Effective 1 April 2014, the deactivation period for all U Mobile Prepaid Plans will be 60 days.

Effective 8 January 2014, changes to the existing U Prepaid Plan are as follows:
  1. Credit validity will be 2x the top up amount.
  2. Peak hour calls within the free calls validity (between 7PM - 11:59PM) will be charged at RM0.045/30 seconds block.
  3. IDD bonus will be revised to 10% of the total cumulated top up value on the same day.
  4. All UMI28 and UMI38 renewals/purchase after 8 January 2014 will be based on the new enhanced bundle.

The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will be conducting the Internet Users Survey 2013 to collect data related to usage of Internet.

This effort is part of MCMC research regarding Internet usage in Malaysia. The findings of these surveys are expected to improve SKMM’s Internet and ICT programs and also improve the performance of the Communications and Multimedia industry in the country.

The survey will be conducted entirely by phone from the MCMC CATI Centre, Kuala Lumpur, commencing 19 October 2013 to 31 December 2013. Data collection will be done from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm daily including Saturdays and Sundays except Federal Territory Kuala Lumpur/Selangor public holidays. Survey completion and/or extensions will be announced in the MCMC website: www.skmm.gov.my.

Please be advised the purpose of this study is for data collection. No money will be collected nor sales solicited. Respondents are randomly selected by computer, based on telephone numbers. Participation is voluntary; however, the cooperation of the public is greatly appreciated so that the required information can be obtained.
