Kuala Lumpur, 15 July 2021 –GoPayz UnionPay Cardholders can now enjoy the convenience of Frictionless Parking at selected locations across Klang Valley and with this new service, users may look forward to a seamless parking experience where their car plate numbers will be recognised at the entry point and exit point and the parking fee will automatically be deducted from their UnionPay Virtual Card in the GoPayz app upon exit.

To enjoy this feature, one must first be a GoPayz UnionPay Cardholder. Secondly, the user will have to activate the Frictionless Parking service found in the priority payment settings in the GoPayz app. Thirdly, he or she will need to register his or her car license plate number in their GoPayz app. Upon activation and registration, GoPayz UnionPay Cardholders will then be able to drive through the entry gantry of participating car parks without having to wind down the window for a parking ticket or having to scan any form of entry access card. The same frictionless experience applies upon exit as the total parking fee for the visit will be automatically charged to the UnionPay Card in the GoPayz app.

This seamless parking experience offers GoPayz users even more reasons to sign up for a UnionPay card, at the same time benefiting from the various accessible and affordable digital financial and lifestyle services made available on the app. UnionPay Frictionless Parking system is currently available at Sonicboom’s License Plate Recognition (LPR) parking locations - Desa Sentul Commercial Park and Metro Point Complex with upcoming locations in the pipeline.
